Earthdance Western Australia
Friday 14th to Sunday 16th September 2007
Performer's Application Form
Closing date: 24th August 2007

Earthdance Western Australia thanks you for your interest in participating in the 12th annual global dance, music, culture and performing arts festival for peace.

We were heavily oversubscribed with applications for the last festival, and competition is likely to be even tighter this year. Please note that we are especially interested in acts which can offer diverse forms of education and entertainment. We are looking for workshops and performances that appeal to children, adults and all ages alike. We will consider ANYTHING (!) no matter how unusual.

Applications will only be accepted online - please fill in the form below.

We will need to receive your promotional materials (demo recording, photos etc) by the deadline of 24th August.

ONLINE APPLICATION EARTHDANCE WA 2007

Please read and complete this form fully. Please see instructions below for submission of demos and other material, and please keep publicity material to two pages maximum

All applicants will be notified by email of the result of their application by end August 2007. Programming will be announced at the same time. The programmers' decision is final, and we are not able to enter into correspondence about unsuccessful applications.

Please retain a copy of your application and be sure to notify by mail or email any changes to the supplied information. We suggest you print out this form after completion to ensure you have a hardcopy of your application.

Please fill in a separate form for each act you would like listed separately in the program book. If you are offering a number of workshops or thematic performances by essentially the same act, please just send in one application.

Names of all people involved in act
Performance fee and GST/ABN status

If you are not quoting an ABN, you will need to fill in an ATO statement by Supplier to indicate why - otherwise we will have to deduct tax at source

As Earthdance is a not-for-profit event to raise funds for local humanitarian and environmental causes we are only able to offer a set fee of $100 per performer per performance. This applies to all performers, no matter how famous. We also offer free accommodation on the festival site and food tokens for performers. If any performers are willing to waive their fee to help the causes that would be greatly appreciated. Under the same principle we are unable to offer free tickets for accompanying family members or partners.

If no ABN, is ABN pending

Accommodation

Cottage accommodation at the Village is strictly limited, but we will do our best to give cottage beds to all performers. We cannot absolutely guarantee this. Most cottage rooms are shared, and single and double rooms are very scarce. You will be asked to share a room if offered cottage accommodation.

We can also offer free camping to artists and immediate family (max 2 adults, 2 children) in the designated Artists Camping Area. Please indicate your preference:

Would prefer to perform on one day only and do not require accommodation
Would prefer to camp. Camping required for adults and children, on sites (6x6 m sites, one car per site).
Willing to camp but would prefer cottage accommodation for people.
Cottage accommodation required for people as a condition of performing at the festival. Tick this box if you will not accept a booking unless you are offered cottage accommodation.
Stage and sound requirements

We will supply DJ mixers and CDJs at both main venues - please state if you require turntables as well.

Please note also that we need to know at the outset if you have any additional production requirements.

PA system is supplied in all venues (except for some workshop venues).

Note: Any special requirements beyond the normal P.A. facilities are the responsibility of the artists. We will not be in a position to supply projectors, screens, T.V's etc. See below for requirements for workshop presenters

# of voice microphones
# of instrument microphones
# of DIs

List your own backline and/or PA equipment being used - we need to know if you use a drum kit, or on-stage guitar or bass amps, or if you will be providing your own mikes or other gear. We don't need a full list of all the instruments you play.

Minimum set-up time Minimum break-down time

(Please note that most concerts at the festival only allow for 15 minutes set up time for bands, five for solo acts; we can only book a limited number of acts requiring longer set-ups).

IMPORTANT: Please list any special requirements. This is essential to ensure that you have the equipment you need. If you do not request this equipment here we cannot guarantee that we are able to provide it.

Please let us know if you have any additional production requirements than you need us to supply - e.g. additional PA systems for outdoor performance. We may or may not be able to comply, but we won't know unless you ask.

Stage plan : Please send us a stage plan if your act is a group with more than three members, or if you have specific requirements. Please send this in electronic format if possible - scanned as a jpg is fine.

Please give us a brief description of your workshop and/or presentation(s), as you would like it to appear in the program book. Please continue in the same box if you are offering more than one. Please don't use paragraph breaks within the box.
