Site Setup
Be available to do whatever you are asked! Assist venue co-ordinators, run errands, bang in posts, make sandwiches. Venues requiring help include the Healing Village, Solar Cinema, Children’s Area, Lunar Stage, Earth Stage, Community Arts Space, Green Futures Space, Sustainability team.

Site Decoration
Collect banners, placards, poles, mobiles and other decorations from the onsite store and install around the site or hang within the major venues. Install signage.

Site Maintenance
During the festival you will roam the site making sure that it looks beautiful at all times.

Children's Area
Work in a small team in 2-3 hour shifts assisting with children's craft workshops, face painting and clearing up afterwards. You do not run the workshops, you only need to assist. If you have the skills and enthusiasm to organise a workshop please liaise with Clare directly once you are registered as a volunteer. You are required to sign a declaration before being allowed to work with children. Also required, experienced venue managers- see note below under Venue Managing.

Sustainability Team
Earthdance is aiming to become the most sustainable festival in Australia. The sustainability team (eco-warriors!) will work in a number of areas throughout the festival to ensure maximum recycling and minimum waste. This is a great opportunity to learn about environmental protection at a public event.

Peace Prayer Flag Painting
For the past two festivals we have been running Peace Prayer Flag painting and now have over 1,000 flags which will be visible on site during the event. We will grow this year by year. We need co-ordinator to manage this, tearing up material, washing paint brushes, hanging up flags to dry and so on.

Merchandise Shop
Teams of two, work in three and four hour shifts, selling merchandise. One person receipts CDs from artists to sell in the shop and also sells CDs. The other person operates the till and sells festival merchandise (T-shirts etc). Help with setup each morning and putting away of stock each night. No experience required but customer service skills a real bonus.

Festival Headquarters
Teams of two, are required to act as a central information point, record lost property, assist lost persons, answer the phone, and monitor the radio base station.
Pre-requisite: Volunteered at least once before at this or similar festival – site knowledge is required. A two way radio training session at HQ at the start of the weekend is required.

- Friday 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm
- Saturday 9:00 am to 12:00 am
- Sunday 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
Venue Managing
Venue Managers (VM's) ensure that all the acts start and finish on time which is crucial for the smooth running of the festival. They are the liaison between artists, comperes, sound crew and other festival staff. This is a challenging enjoyable job with lots of responsibility and variety.
A two way radio is used to keep in contact with the Production Co-ordinator, other VM's and headquarters. You need to be available from 4:00 pm on Friday until 9:00 pm on Sunday night.
If your partner also wants to venue manage, unfortunately there is no guarantee that you can both be rostered on for the same shift times. A two way radio training session at Festival HQ at the start of the weekend is required.

Artist Services
Prepare cottages for arrival or artists - deliver welcome packs and linen & place names on cottage doors. Team of 2 people required.
Hours of Operation:
- Friday: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Marshalls: Care Stewards
Teams of six will move between 3 Marshalling spots and the site providing support and care for the festival goers. You need to be caring and helpful and have full knowledge of the festival site and programme.
